All non-qualifiers or cars not starting the A-Main: 25 Points

8.5.C All cars will have 1 bonus point added to their total for each car entered. (For example, if there were 15 cars entered in the division this week, and a driver finished 3rdto earn 90 points, the total they would be credited with this week would be 105).

8.5.D Any driver entering and taking the green in a heat race, thus attempting to qualify, will earn non-qualifier points + entry bonus points. If a driver breaks in practice and DOES NOT take the green in a heat, feature, or consi, they will earn NO points.

8.6 Registering Car Numbers: Numbers for the 2011 season may be reserved as of 1/1/11. Drivers that earned points in 2010 have first option to retain their number up to 2/1/11. After that date, any unregistered numbers are fair game. Once a number has been run and earned points, that driver will retain that number for the year. In the event that 2 drivers arrive on opening day with the same number and having not registered their number, the number will go to the driver that ran it the previous year. If neither driver ran it the previous year, it will go to the driver that entered the nights event first.

8.6.A Duplicate Numbers: In the event that someone enters a car with a number that has already been registered, the driver entering later MUST change theirs or add a letter using tape, or any method so as to make it identifiable for the scorers. This MUST be done on BOTH sides of the car.

8.7 NUMBER MARKINGS:

8.7.A Karts - Must have numbers on both sides (minimum 6” tall, 1” thick, not including any outlines or shadows) and front (minimum 4” tall, .1/2” thick not including any outlines or shadows).

8.7.B Slingshots - Must have numbers on both sides (minimum 12” tall, 1 1/2” thick, not including any outlines or shadows) and front (minimum 4” tall, 1/2” thick, not including any outlines or shadows).

8.7.C Micros - Must have numbers on both sides of wing (minimum 12” tall, 2” thick, not including any outlines or shadows), both sides of tail (minimum 8” tall, 1 1/4” thick, not including any outlines or shadows), and front (minimum 6” tall, 1” thick, not including any outlines or shadows).

8.7.D All cars should be lettered in a manner such as to be easily legible and in a color that contrasts so that it can be read easily by the scorers. Any letters must be at least ½ the height of the number. The scorers have the right to request that any cars with numbers that are difficult to read be changed. Competitor will have 1 week to comply with requested change.

8.8 HANDICAPPING:

8.8.A All drivers will pull a pill when they pay their entry fee. If the driver pulls a number that has already been drawn in their division (the same bucket will be used in all divisions, so the pills must be put back in the bucket after each draw), it will be set aside and they must draw another until they get a pill that has not been drawn.

HEATS: The heat starting order will be determined with the lowest draw on the pole of heat one, the next draw on the pole in heat 2, the next 2ndin heat one, etc.

FEATURES: Tentatively, the feature lineups will be heads up with the winner of heat one 1st, the the winner of heat 2, then 2nd in heat one, and so on. The winner of heat one in each division will draw an invert pill at the scales. The numbers in the can will be 3 times the number of heats (in other words, top 3 finishers in each heat - 3 x 2 heats = 6 pills). The field will be set by taking the heads up start and inverting top drivers according to the invert pill (if 4 were drawn, the top 4 would be inverted for the feature lineup). There will be an invert chart near the scales where the invert number will be written when drawn.

8.8.B DRAW REPRESENTATIVES – For any pill draw, a driver may have a representative of their choosing draw for them.

8.9 Scoring

8.9.1 WVMP will be implementing the Motosponder scoring system in

2011. Every car will need it's own “card”, available from the track. The cards cost $10, and must simply be fastened to the car and forgotten. There is no power supply or battery to worry about, and the cards are good in most cases for 2 or more seasons. They are about the size of a credit card, and must be registered with the track (taken care of when purchased). They will be available at the first practice. Exact placement on the different types of cars to be announced at a later date.
